Renewable energies sector in China is growing. Hugo Cachafeiro, CSP Project Manager of Aries’ Energy Division has given a key presentation at CSP Plaza 2015 Annual Meeting, last June 25th – 26th in Beijing (China), entitled Introduction of Owner’s Engineer for CSP projects.
The technical session was focused on Aries’ expertise in owner’s engineering for CSP projects. Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas and CGN Delingha Solar Energy Corporation recently signed an (Owner’s Engineer) OE contract for a 50 MW solar thermal parabolic trough power plant, where solar energy is transformed in high pressure steam and then becomes electrical power thanks to the movement of a turbine.
The renewable energies project will include a solar field of about 190 loops and will have a thermal storage in molten salts equivalent to 1300 MWh. The plant located in Delingha, capital of the Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province is a huge step for the renewable sector in the region.
Cachafeiro highlighted, during his speech, the importance of the ambitious renewable energy plan designed for China and showed the audience the relevance of this step to create the ideal regulatory framework to favor clean energies sector growing.
