Renewable Energy Generation Limited («REG») (AIM: WIND), the UK renewable energy group, notes that the High Court has today upheld the planning consent for REG’s 10MW Denzell Downs project in Cornwall.

Cornwall Council originally granted permission for the scheme in 2011, but a legal challenge to that permission has delayed progressing the project.

Andrew Whalley, Chief Executive Officer said:

«We are pleased that the planning permission granted by Cornwall Council has been upheld in the High Court. Denzell Downs is one of the most energetic locations for a wind farm in the UK and we look forward to progressing its construction, in the process releasing much needed community funding for the local area».
