José Ramón Pérez, Chief Operating Officer of Aries Energy Division, has presented his vision about the current challenges and context of renewable energies in MEA in the last workshop hosted by Eversheds in London. Eversheds is one of the world’s largest corporate law firms, who offer services to the private and public sector business and finance community. Aries is an engineering company that specializes in the design and management of worldwide renewable projects, thus, presenting the successful case studies of Ouarzazate CSP plant in Morocco (as part of the awarded consortium preferred bidder for the first phase of a proposed 160 MW plant -500 MW overall-), Bokpoort CSP plant in South Africa (50 MW) or Ma’an Solar CSP plant in Jordan (46 MW) provided the attendants with insight into the future and challenges of the CSP sector.
At the workshop, José Ramón Pérez has shown to the audience how the innovative regulatory framework in North Africa (especially Morocco) is creating an ideal climate for investment in clean energies, as well as the key factors for technical adequacy in this market.
